Welcome
to Crypt: Into the Mists! Many of you remember Crypt as an excellent MUSH
that closed down several years ago -- a place that was home to roleplay that still
elicits shivers. Why bring it back? Because those chills are hard to find anywhere
else.
The game opens approximately a hundred years after the last incarnation
of Crypt closed. What happened in those hundred years? We're not telling. There
are books and stories in game that will give hints.
History is a funny
thing and everyone has a slightly different recollection of what happened. For
those who devoted so much time to the old versions of Crypt, please understand
that the staff can't make everyone happy -- which is one reason there is no official
history file on the in-game years of old Crypt. The admin have a version of history
they are going to be using to base TPs and storylines off of, but for everyone
else, the past is now made up of legends and stories, the accounts of which will
vary based on their source.
For those who are new to Crypt, well, settle
in and take a look around. Crypt is a place for those who love to RP and create
stories together.

And here's what's the
same:
- Same Vartania (minus a lot of older buildings)

theme: dark gothic fantasy and good vs. evil
- Same excellent RP.

read over the news files (Darkness Time sets the stage
for most recent history).
One final note: At some point there will be
a timed TP at the end of which dramatic changes may be made to the game and characters.
Players will have influence over these changes -- but just how much may
depend on TPs and roleplay.
